This is rather a new release from Global Undeground titled Singles Sampler ONE. It was however release on August 22, 2008 but I had dificulties locating the RS links till recently. Maybe I didn't search hard enough. Anyway, consists of 11 very new & hyped progressive tracks mixed by Trafik & Jay Lumen. Check it out.

As promised, here's the retail copy of Sasha's new album, Invol2ver. No more promo voice shit as I can confirm it cause I'm listening to it now.

Another progressive house release from one of my favourite DJs Sasha. Invol2ver a.k.a Involver 2 promises new & fresh tracks that was mixed by Sasha and along with others. Since Involver back 4 years ago, Sasha has already made himself renowned progressive DJ as he would spin at live audiences on yearly events. Invol2ver will now include his debut tracks from the documented surf movie and from emFire Collection. This compilation isn't officially out yet, the released date will be 8th September, 2008. So since this is a promotional copy, it will bear "GU promotional copy" voice over tracks and it will not include CD2 of the Special Edition 2CD Version. I will post the retail copy once it's available.

It has been the most anticipated sequel in electronic music. False tracklistings, fake audio torrents and even doctored artwork have propelled Invol2ver into a trainspotters mystery. 4 years, 2 months and 4 days devoted fans have waited for the follow up to the release that redefined the DJ mix. In between writing and producing 3 original songs for this release, several singles for his new label emFire, scoring a surf film, composing music for TV shows such as CSI, and his hectic yearly globe trotting tour schedule, Sasha worked on and completed Invol2ver.

Featuring 13 tracks worth of Sasha gold, the standard edition features Sasha's unique re-workings of musical giants such as Radiohead's Thom Yorke and American folk singer Ray LaMontagne as well as formidable electronic artists Apparat and Ladytron, while the limited edition comes equipped with a second CD of Sasha remix exclusives.

Invol2ver is no ordinary mix CD. It's a painstakingly created blend of mix and artist album in which a world class DJ pushes his creativity to its very limits, helped by a crack team of studio experts. Taking a diverse collection of tracks and picking them apart. Then weaving them into a colourful tapestry that is completely his own. Invol2ver is the sound of one of the world's finest DJs at the peak of his powers, mixing you the future.

Sasha, Barry Jamieson and the Spooky duo of Charlie May and Duncan Forbes, plus Leo Leite used every piece of dirty equipment they could get their hands on to create that lo-fi gritty sound, and loved every minute of it. "In every way, Invol2ver is closer to a production album than anything else. We were like kids in a toy shop basically, hunting out as many old mixing desks, drum machines and guitar pedals that we could find on eBay" says Sasha. By layering old guitar pedals, amps, and white noise, Barry adds "It's like a collage of New York sounds. Old gear is so unpredictable and it had a mind of its own, this album was very spontaneous in that way." And like NYC, the city that never sleeps, Invol2ver is alive; you just can't get these sounds from a computer or anywhere else.

It has been awhile since the last time I posted progressive music. So today, I will put up a Global Underground august release of The Last Atlant: Cloudburst of Colours. This DJ has already created some very good tracks and it was compiled into several GU compilations eversince.

The next installment in the pioneering GU MUSIC collection comes from the little known but brilliant young French producer The Last Atlant... with family links to Daft Punk and other Gallic musical blueblood lines, this off the wall underground find looks set to launch a future star into our skies.

After releases on major labels such as Proton and Bonzai, The Last Atlant has also become a solid choice for the Global Underground A&R team, leading to the inclusion of his tracks tracks on several GU compilations including Afterhours, Digitized, and the GU Mixed series. .

Guillaume's debut album, "Cloudburst of Colours", reflects his shifting style and magnificently strong song writing; the record is at once eclectic and un-definable, and is built upon his preference for producing music that reflects life and personal experiences rather than aping styles or pigeon holing tastes.

This is a new release from Renaissance titled "Anthems". In house genre album, you will get to hear lots of house tunes that will probably useful if you are club DJ performing those nights of countdown events. I've seen many DJs in my location and other places using Renaissance for chill-out nights & anthems for such events. Jet Black Stare is a new Modern Rock band and can be categorized under Alternative Rock or Post Grunge genre. While I'm still trying to find out where JBS country of origin, their new debut album entitled "In This Life" has included some very interesting alternative rock styles and also not forgetting some very good grunge music. This album brings us 11 tracks and their hit number called Ready To Roll, it was also the official theme song for WWE's SummerSlam 2008. This was also one of the main reasons why I put up this group cause I find their hit song very unique compared to many alternative or modern rock songs. Jet Black Stare are Rod Black (Singer/Songwriter), Shane Hayes (Bassist), Dan Swinimer (Drummer), Flip (Guitarist) & Dave Muselman (Guitarist).

A good song is a good song man, simple as that!" That's the mercurial and confident, but oh so endearing songwriter and vocalist Rod Black. Black knows his way around a well-written tune. He's recently finished co-writing a slew of them for his brand new band, JET BLACK STARE, and their Island Records debut album, In This Life.

For this morning, I bring to you King Diamond! A satanism musician with a satanic painted face in his 2007 video collection towards live audiences. This DVD came from my source early today and it is taken from MTV Espana and it contains a short intro, total of 7 King Diamond videos and pieces of his interview to MTV. This is also considered as a bootleg. Those not in favor of this group or especially against satanism or satanic music, please stay away. 20 years ago, King Diamond was one my most feared albums that I would listen to. OK during those days, I was a pure metal lover and was not obliged to listen to even death or black metal stuffs. Now I've turned those away and moved onto Progressive House & Trance moods ever since I enjoyed DJing. King Diamond, as a vocalist uses FALSETTO, mixed with mid-range vocals in most of his music. This musician uses the falsetto so well that it can create an eerie feeling when listening to his music. I do believe that King Diamond is probably one of the first musician in the heavy metal group to use this technique. I also included the 2007 album of King Diamond titled Give Me Your Soul... Please links at the bottom.

The term falsetto (Italian diminutive of falso, false) refers to the vocal register occupying the frequency range just above the modal voice register and overlapping with it by approximately one octave. It is produced by the vibration of the ligamentous edges of the vocal cords, in whole or in part. Though frequently used in reference to a particular type of vocal production in singing, falsetto vocal production also occurs within speech and is one of the four main vocal registers identified within speech pathology. The characteristic sound of falsetto is inherently breathy and flute-like, with few overtones present. The falsetto voice is more limited in dynamic variation and tone quality than the modal voice in both speaking and singing. Both men and women can phonate in the falsetto register. The term falsetto is most often used in the context of singing to refer to a vocal technique that enables the singer to sing notes beyond the vocal range of the normal or modal voice.

When was the last time you heard Slipknot had a new album? A very long time ago I believe. Their last album was released in 2004 titled Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses ) I just found out that they also released an album called Voliminal: Inside The Nine in 2006 (my bad) . Slipknot probably has the most members in their band. Consisting 9 band members which are Sid Wilson (turntables), Joey Jordison (drums), Paul Gray (bass), Chris Fehn (percussions, backing vocals), James Root (guitars), Craig "133" Jones (samples), Shawn "Clown" Crahan (percussion), Mick Thomson (guitars) & Corey Taylor (lead vocals). Former members were Donnie Steele (guitars), Anders Colsefini (vocals, percussion), Greg "Cuddles" Welts (percussion) & Josh Brainard (guitars, backing vocals). Slipknot is also a multi metal band which would play Rap Metal (during their early years) Alternative Metal & Nu Metal genres. For this post, I'm giving you their new 2008 Promo CDM & their hit track called Psychosocial music video. Enjoy.

DragonForce is an English power metal band formed in London in 1999. The group is known for its fast paced songs, twin guitar solos, and incorporation of electronic sound effects into their music. DragonForce was formed in 1999 from the remnants of the band Demoniac under the name of DragonHeart, but they changed their name to DragonForce before releasing any commercial albums due to possible issues with Brazilian band Dragonheart. Their career began with the publishing of their early songs on the first incarnation of MP3.com, claiming the top of the site's heavy metal charts. The hit song "Valley of the Damned" reached over 500,000 downloads in the first few months.

Eversinced The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), this Nu Metal band has been very quiet lately without any new releases. I still missed the good old albums while Borland was still with them. Those were the days when their hit song "Rolling" (which is included in this compilation), rocked the world. Now, LB is still in the production for part 2 of TUT, this latest compilation entitled Collected are just some of their greatest hits from various albums.

Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. The current members of the band include vocalist Fred Durst, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto (Rivers' cousin), and turntablist/sampler player DJ Lethal.

The band's guitarist Wes Borland departed in 2001 following the release of their first three albums to be replaced by Mike Smith for the band's fourth release Results May Vary. Borland rejoined for The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) only to quit once again in 2006 to work with other projects Black Light Burns and From First to Last.

For all you MGS fans out there, here's the sountrack from the next sequel of MGS series, Guns of the Patriot that runs solely for the Playstation 3 and it is set to be released on June 13, 2008 by Konami.

Here I bring you the latest addition from Ministry of Sound and for those of you that like progressive house or would like to experience the electronic music world, you will definitely love this compilation. I've provided both the Mixed & Unmixed formats in this article. The difference is that the Mixed format is a compilation of mixes from various artists and it is re-mixed by Quivver himself and the other is the Unmixed format which is very useful for club DJs. Below are the info towards Progressive House and if you are not in mood to read, then skip this part and head over to the tracklist & download links.

In today's current electronic music scene, with the many genres and sub-genres around, it is extremely difficult to adequately explain most of them.. however one style continues to drive its force through the current 'in vogue' trends such as electro & tech - Progressive House - it is still alive and as strong as ever, and often serves up the most mouth-watering and sumptuous electronic music to be found. It's been a while since anyone brought dance music fans up to date with the current breed of Progressive House music producers and so the Ministry of Sound are delighted to present you with the Clubbers Guide to Progressive House 2008.

What is Progressive House? For the uninitiated, the term was coined by Mixmag editor Dom Phillips to describe the music being played by the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and championed on labels like Global Underground and Renaissance. The music itself consisted of the 4-to-4 beat of house music with deeper, dub-influenced basslines and a more melancholic, emotional edge. Later in its development it became marked by melodic pads and delicate melodies, its influence feeding back into trance. Often, it featured elements from many different genres, mixing them together into a credible & powerful product!

When the DJs who played Progressive House were asked to describe what it meant, they often preferred to explain that the term progressive was used to describe the DJs musical outlook (rather than necessarily just the music) in that they preferred to play a wide range of music styles (deep house, house, tech house, breakbeat, techno etc) rather than one particular style. They were always looking at exploring new sounds and building a set or a night and progressing from deeper slower sounds to more up-tempo and possibly melodic sounds. As with all music genres, it's difficult to explain in words, but it was a huge movement whose greatest proponents are some of today's biggest DJs, largely as a result of playing a sound that was a huge favourite in clubland. But enough with categorisations and classifications. Let's get on with the music.

And who better to bring you up to date with today's sound than the mighty Quivver (aka John Graham), the popular British production and remix wizard, who earlier as one part of the Tilt trio helped shape the Progressive House movement of the late 90's. He is responsible for a multitude of releases in his personal capacity on labels such as Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto, Sony & Lost Language as well as Baroque and his own BozBoz imprint which he formed in 2002. He has remixed the likes of Simply Red, BT , Culture Club and Tiesto to name a few, and has had tracks appear on over 80 albums, including Global Underground, Renaissance, Perfecto & Bedrock. Today, Quivver is riding high with the recent release of a huge track called 'Surin' (featured on this album), and the industry is abuzz with talk of his new single 'Chasin A Feelin' since Pete Tong played it on his Essential Selection in April after Sasha had apparently played it all over the WMC in Miami 2008. Both these singles are taken from his first artist album 'dirty nails & vapour trails' which is due for release in July!

For anyone even remotely partial to the type of music championed by the likes of Renaissance, Global Underground and the Balance Series on EQ Recordings, this albums for you.
